Josh Hawley’s book dropped by Simon & Schuster following Capitol Hill riot

I sound like a person calling you out for only being corporate friendly when they suppress people you don't like.

You sound like a Trump cultist, warped by four years of Trump's assault on the COTUS.

Josh Hawley is free to find another publisher. Or self-publish. If the government was suppressing his book, I'd agree.

But it is not.

No one has the right the force someone else into a contractual agreement. But that's what you are arguing.

People write books in part for the income the sales provide...no one here is going to pay you for your words...so your point was ridiculous....

Where does it say that in the COTUS that everyone has the right to make a living? That's what you are arguing.

You sound like a Bernie Sanders supporter.

When did you become a communist?

Still supporting silencing of opponents instead of having to work to counter their views and opinions.

You are all for corporate suppression of viewpoints as long as it is viewpoints you don't like being suppressed.

For people who claim to be on the "right side of history" you seem to fight more to eliminate opposing views than to show how your views are better.

Hey, Joshie is free to take his dumb book to another publisher. He can also find other donors and other mentors. Bad day huh? ;)

No one is forcing you to gleefully spew about his book being suppressed.

you don't want him to find another publisher, you want him silenced, and you don't have the fucking balls to admit it.

You hide behind false respect for free enterprise, because you are a fucking coward.

See how the left operates...in ten years we will not recognize America...freedom of speech is being striped away by big business...censorship is the rule of the day if they don't like what you are saying...aren't any of you libs the least bit worried about this?...

Nobody has the right to force another company to publish your thoughts. That fake POS Hawley knows it. He's just playing to the rubes.
They are trying to harm the man for how he thinks...what if it were you?...

This is really terrible. It's the several-est book deal this has happened to in the last year! I'm worried Amazon is going to start this up, where I buy all my books. It's so wrong that publishers do this. And the book had nothing to do with riots or Trump or anything like that!

Nah, you want all publishers to deny him, because it isn't about corporate freedom, its about suppressing views and opinions you don't like, and worse, you don't have the balls to admit it.

It won't happen to him, he does as he is told. Like a good little puppet.

Poor cultist

I called you out, and you have no real response.

Loser.

Yesterday, Joshie claimed (predictably) "counter culture" and "a violation of the first amendment". Sorry dude, Simon and Schuster is not part of the government and they are free to do whatever the hell they damn please. Perhaps that raised fist of yours and the entire coup attempt in the Senate were very bad ideas. Now, you're done. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. :)

At least one person is facing consequences as a result of Wednesday’s riot on Capitol Hill: Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., has lost his book deal.
Hawley’s “The Tyranny of Big Tech,” a book critical of big tech corporations including Google and Facebook, was set to publish in June. But Thursday, publisher Simon & Schuster, in a press release posted to its website, announced it would no longer be publishing Hawley’s book.
The statement reads: “After witnessing the disturbing, deadly insurrection that took place on Wednesday in Washington, D.C., Simon & Schuster has decided to cancel publication of Senator Josh Hawley’s forthcoming book, THE TYRANNY OF BIG TECH. We did not come to this decision lightly. As a publisher it will always be our mission to amplify a variety of voices and viewpoints: at the same time we take seriously our larger public responsibility as citizens, and cannot support Senator Hawley after his role in what became a dangerous threat to our democracy and freedom.”

Like the man said, where they burn books soon they will burn people

1984 here we come

What does Simon & Schuster's decision have to do with "free speech"?
Oh yes, nothing.

Everything. Everything to do with free speech --- a publisher is how speech is publicized. What Simon & Schuster did was so wrong.

Gotta stop calling these fascists libs, dude.

They need to be called what they ARE and not what they claim to be.

I could care less whether he finds another publisher. In fact, I'm sure he will. There is always an audience of Fascist loons out there!

Libs banning books is the same as burning them
Josh Hawley does not have a constitutional right to have his book published by Simon and Schuster.

Maybe you don't know this, but he does.
