I'm done defending Romney but what he said, although not an excuse... but an explanation, are two different things.

I'm sure you've said things in life that didn't "come out" the way you intended.

We do not need a hot head who won't even wait til morning to make a well thought out and diplomatically neutral statement. Mittens chose to play to the cheap seats and, in so doing, showed he cannot play with the Big Kids on an international stage.

Don't forget what he said on this latest hidden tape video. Is that really what we want to be heard by other countries?

And, we sure as hell don't need another Reagan with his staff running around saying, "... what the president meant to say ...".

The middle east is literally on fire because of Obama's foreign policies. Our Ambassador was probably murdered with US weapons supplied to the rebels. And the world is on the brink of regional/global conflict and he's done a good job? This isnt because we've been strong.

The middle east has been "literally on fire" since the middle ages or before. Find another scapegoat.

Frankly, as much as I ache for the women and children of that region, our most immediate concern should be that every time some asshole screams FIRST AMENDMENT as he's running around with a leaky gas can, is that they are PURPOSELY putting American's at risk.

Oh so Romney is the one who destablized Egypt by throwing the powers that be under the bus and making no provision to support groups that like liberty so the Muslim Brotherhood can take control. It was Romney who bombed Libya and armed their rebels, including Al Qaeda members, with American weapons.
