18 counts is a lot of counts. I always liked John Bolton. The UN despises him.

He expected to be lauded by democrats for "getting Trump" and his removal of the information part of the accepted process of "getting Trump". He thought that hating Trump was his get out of jail free card. If it was something that could be used against Trump, that was all he needed.

John Bolton is likely bewildered right now. If he got something that could be construed or even misconstrued as hurting Trump he fully expected to get the full weight of the democratic party to shield him.
