Hamas is not a terrorist group in Palestine, they are the defacto governing body of Palestine. Your analogy would actually be Hamas is Palestine in the same way the US Government is the United States.

That is still pretty far off because governing Palestine is significantly different than that of actual nations because the politics there is massively complex and experiences a LOT of outside control BUT equating Hamas with the IRA or the KKK is monumentally disingenuous..

And when you look at crimes, like murder and theft, Hamas comes off as the good guys compared to the IDF or Mossad, who are constantly murdering and assassinating.

There are 13 million Palestinians really, and half of them own property in Israel, but only 1 million Arabs are allowed to live in Israel.
In contrast, there are only 6 million Jews in Israel.
Which is why Israel won't allow a 1 or 2 state solution.
Then their crimes would be obvious.
With a one state solution, Israel would have to illegally prevent the natives from voting.
With a two state solution, the natives would demand the right of return to their properties in Israel.

Terrorism is when you use weapons to extort people into giving up their legal property or rights.
That is what the US did with Shock and Awe, and it was totally illegal, since the Geneva Convention prohibits targeting civilian infrastructure.

Hamas on the other hand is only targeting those who are responsible for murder and theft of homes from the native Palestinians.
The natives are the only legal owners, who paid for the land and have treaties giving them independence.
