Top counterterrorism official Kent resigns over Trump's Iran war, says Iran posed no imminent threat

President Donald Trump is pushing back against claims by the director of the National Counterterrorism Center about the motivations for the Iran war.

Joe Kent, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, announced his resignation on Tuesday, citing his concerns about the justification for military strikes in Iran and saying he “cannot in good conscience” back the Trump administration’s war.

“Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby,” Kent said in a statement posted on social media.





Really no more is needed. Everyone with an IQ over 5 and a molecule of patriotism to America knows Kent speaks the truth. MAGA was supposed to be the end of these "forever wars" to serve Israel.

Good thing he is out because he would rightly be accused of treason. The President is the Commander In Chief not the 'national director' of some bloated government bureaucracy. Good riddance. At least, this time, Trump was able to sift out most of the traitors before they lied their way in. It was worse last time. Trump faced a wall of Marxist bureaucracy that had turned the justice system into Marxist rubber stamps for any thing, any charge anything a all they could try to hang on him.
