Joe Biden Turns The Tables On Republicans During National Address

Why then does it seem like Republicans suddenly can't land a glove on Biden?

For decades, Republicans have increasingly abandoned policy debate in favor of culture war antics, race-baiting and raw tribalism. From Monica Lewinsky to Barack Obama's birth certificate, the modern GOP has turned politics into conflicts about personality and identity, not policy.

Republicans are grumpy, extremely grumpy. Republican Senators watching the speech last night collectively looked like they smelled a fart, and not just because they were wearing masks. They're mad, not just because they know he's right. They're mad because they know he's popular and what he's saying is popular. They'll block as much of his agenda as they can and hope that voter suppression and gerrymandering do the rest. But on the merits of the argument itself? They're toast.

Biden knows these guys like the back of his hand, and playing them like a fiddle. He knows exactly how Republicans are going to respond, and he doesn't have to say anything to them. He just has to talk to the voters, and then let the voters watch Republicans stumble with worn out talking points that aren't connecting with them anymore. If the Trump base is all Republicans have now, the author is right. They're toast.

Put simply, Biden is actually DOING everything they ACCUSED Trump of for four years--- Adamantly against it under Trump even with him not really doing it, now a SUCCESS STORY with bragging rights now that Biden really is doing it.

JUst think: a year ago, they were decrying Trump for his spending policies! So what did Joe do first thing in office?

Spend six trillion (6,000 billion dollars) we don't even have. :21:

I'll wager that Mike Lindell on Kimmel last night rated higher.
Well, I'm sure more people laughed at Lindell.
A lot more people support him than Biden. Only 22 million watched Biden out of 81 million.
So? Biden's still a winner. People were probably watching Kimmel to see how crazy Lindell really is. You know, like rubber necking a traffic accident. You know it isn't going to be pretty, but you just can't help yourself.

Second lowest?
Is that like having the second highest number of votes in an election?

The election was stolen...we can tell because Joe's poll numbers have been in the low 50's since day one...what happened?...

Yeah, Ram, but that is actually pretty good for a politician no one knew even existed until Obumma picked him for VP, that no one hardly showed up for at his campaign rallies and don't even show up for at his SOTU addresses!

Biden is illegitimate. It is going to be proven. It has already been proven to over 100 million people.

Worst thing Biden can do is sink down to the level of Republicans and wrestle in the mud.

He just goes about his agenda with or without them
They've forgotten to recognize the adult in the room.

In fact, Trump's worst Congressional address was 20+ million viewers better than Biden. Biden now holds the record for least views in that venue.
Give the people what they want....not Joe! And that just leads one to recall how many people did NOT
show up to Biden campaign events. We're expected to believe Biden picked up 80 million votes for president?

NO FUCKING WAY! Absolutely no fucking way!

I would like to draw attention to one of the remarks made by the article writer (not to be confused with journalists) of the OP: "Snap polls after the speech showed that 85% of viewers approved of Biden's speech, out of a crowd that was only 54% Democratic."

Okay, question to all fellow independents (of various persuasions) which one of you gave a positive poll result following hearing Biden's lines he read? How about anyone who isn't a Democratic who gave a positive review to these myseterious pollsters? Surely, there is at least one poster in here who isn't self-labeled Dem....ohhhh wait. Socialists! The socialist supporters who label themselves as leftists were polled, but were not identified as such to make the poll results sound like all kinds of Independents were reponding positively lol I really do miss the easy stuff;P

I would really like to know how that poll was conducted....naw nevermind....polls had it that Hillary was a shoe-in win! This stat about 85% approval would not seem suspect had the article writer left out the part about "only 54% Democrat. Right! lol
