The fact is two of the largest affiliates in the biggest markets in the country have pending business before the FCC.....A merger or some such.

They simply did not need the albatross of Kimmel around their necks so they took matters in hand themselves and that forced Disney/ABCs hand.

They run companies to, you know, make money. They are not making money being the mouthpiece of the DNC through some mean-spirited jerk on a late night show.

Kimmel was ranked third behind Colbert and was losing about the same amount of money and for the same reasons....An alienated potential viewership.

Remember, it was not long ago that Kimmel said he hoped that right-leaners would not watch his show....He should have been fired right then and there....Who in their right mind goes out of their way to alienate half of a show's potential audience?

I don’t bother with these late night shows anymore. I’ve seen clips of the insufferable Colbert and Kimmel. Holy crap. They are awful.

I used to give Fallon a look-see once in a while (if there was some guest I had an interest in). But although I tend to stay up pretty late, I find myself reading or hanging out here more than watching TV. (I do enjoy Gutfeld!, from time to time.)

I’m so old, I remember looking forward to seeing the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and even Late Night with David Letterman. Nothing like that exists anymore.
