The dishonest continue to call it a 'don't say gay' bill when it was anything but that. The word 'gay' doesn't appear in any place in the legislation. All it does it remove discussions and material related to sexual orientation and transgendering/gender identity and such from curriculum for young children and allow kids to be kids blissfully innocent of all those adult topics as they should be. It does not mean the children are forbidden to use the word gay or anything else or that events like an attack on a gay nightclub cannot be discussed or that a child cannot talk about his/her gay family member.
