I found this thread in a discussion board, cool board about whether or not christians are Idolaters. They obviously don't want to say so and say it's a tough question blah blah. But then one poster gets pissed and demands and answer.

here really is no debate about Deut. 6.4 "Hear, O Israel! The L-RD is our G-d, the L-RD alone." I didn't type this for you, Martin, because you know this already. However, some do not.

I find a final comfort in Zechariah 14.9 "And the L-RD shall be king over all the earth; in that day there shall be one L-RD with one name."

Lets take this one step further...The L-RD already has one name and there has never been more than one L-RD. But as Zechariah says..."this latter is perched up high where it is, and shall be inhabited."

This means that everybody including those who have been deluded will hear what you are already hearing now when you say the "Hear, O Israel"

Those who hate the truth cannot touch you in the spiritual world. Idolaters cannot enter. There is nobody who can explain a trinity of G-d because He isn't divided nor is He a trinity.

"Hear O Israel..." is a pretty lofty perch & a place where not everybody is going to sit.
