Jesus New Covenant ended the Old Law of Moses Food Restricitions, BUT, If Jesus came back today and instituted a New Laws of restricting certain items that we cannot intake into our bodies, what would some of those be today? Here's a list I'd institute:

1. Alcohol
2. Tobacco
3. Drugs not properly used by a physicians directive
4. Too much meats unless there's a famine.

Would you add anything or subtract anything and give a reason other than, "Because."

.

Things that are NOT the food that God put on the Earth, like glyphosate and MSG and genetically modified plants.

He'd probably have a problem with "gender-affirming" hormones, birth control pills, and abortion drugs.

I wonder about those. Definitely gender - affirming hormones. But, the pill? Not so sure. And, the abortion drugs in the hands of physicians doing abortions for the right reason(s), questionable.

Didn't God say "Be fruitful and multiply"?

Would these restrictions apply only to Christians, or everyone?

Did he say to not use the brain he gave us? I wonder if he knew that man would need to be wiped off the face of the earth. And, Israel to a certain extend on occasions as well to have said, multiply and replenish the earth. We have 8 billion on the earth today. Now, it's maintain and keep His commandments. The one in the NT and today with what his prophets give to us today. Abortion is always against the commandment thou shalt not kill. The pill is not killing anything.

God Himself creates that life inside a woman once the egg is fertilized. God's living human creations are not "things", as they like ourselves were created in His own image.

This is coming from an old man who has irresponsibly had sex with a total of 84 women in his life, and never cared whether they had an abortion or not. I've lain awake more than several nights remembering every one of their faces in a row, and feeling guilty about it.

Not that I wish the guilty nights upon you, but it's reassuring to hear a man acknowledge this. Thank you.

Well, you are far behind Wilt Chamberlain and Magic Johnson with the 84 women. Aside from that, your honest belief now is where God sees you. Yes, it would be hard to make restitution for your sins at this time. But, if you do all you can do, and cannot fully make restitution, the atonement of Jesus Christ will take you the rest of the way to repentance and forgiveness.
I agree that there is more than fertilization that makes us living human creations and in some ways, in the likeness or god-like of God the Father. In our faith, we call each other brothers and sisters because we believe the real breath of life that makes us children of Heavenly Father are the spirit children of Heavenly Father placed in our bodies. This makes us different than all the animals in the world. We are literally spirit children of Heavenly Father and thus brothers and sisters, Jesus Christ as our Elder Brother and has atoned for our sins.
As for when our spirits enter, that is unknown. But, we have been assured it is somewhere between conception and birth. As for when abortion, when the mother's life is in jeopardy, or the spirit wasn't planned for because of rape or incest, abortion may be right and not a sin. For, if the unborn is allowed to be born, that spirit child wasn't supposed to be there. Therefore, the decision on these circumstances must be between the Lord and the woman. That's my opinion.

I have made restitution by not living that lifestyle any more. Happily-married for the last 15 years and would never do anything to mess that up.

That's about the only way it can be done. I have often wondered how an adulterer could make restitution. Especially if the person's whereabouts are unknown and probably don't want to be contacted. Congratulations!

Like He said, "Go and sin no more." But just every damn thing else is a sin too. I get ragged on a lot for not taking BS from people on here.

Not true. Most of the things we do are mistakes, not sin. The difference is knowledge and understanding of the mistake that would turn it into a sin.
