If the SCOTUS rules against Trump's tariff then he will move on to plan B and the C.. He has many other option besides tariffs.. Trump has repeatedly signaled a "Game 2 plan," and administration officials, trade lawyers, and think tanks agree he retains multiple fallback authorities under existing trade laws.

This is why I said last time the SC will allow tariffs against adversaries to remain as is but probably order Trump to lower the rate for allies. Whatever amount was collected, that's ancient history. The SC doesn't want to open the floodgate for more litigation if the court rules against tariffs, which is moot since Trump has plan B ready to launch.

The Supreme Court doesn't micro-manage.
They rarely if ever draw where the line is. Instead they declare where the line isn't. Saying their scheme is illegal, without saying what they could do to make it acceptable.
