Japan elects first-ever female prime minister...and she's based AF

That was the Brit’s craven decision.

It was hardly "craven". They had signed a lease with the Qing Dynasty that expired in 1997. The People's Republic honored that lease by not invading the city.

(There had been some discussion after the Japanese surrender in 1945 of returning Hong Kong and Macao to the Nationalist Government, but once again, the West disrespected China.)

As for Japans new Prime Minster conservative does not mean the exact same thing as it does in the USA, she is for universal health care, supports strict gun controls. She is Japan first and has stated if the Trump trade deal does not turn out to be in Japans interest she will amend or scrap it.

She has also stated the US will have no say in how much or what Japan spends in defense.

Again, not everything is about us.

What is worrisome about her is that she subscribes to Shinzo Abe's position that Japan didn't do anything wrong in WWII.

She's visited the Yasukuni Shrine a number of times, which is pretty offensive to the rest of Asia. This is something Hirohito stopped doing in 1975, and his successors stopped doing as well.

In addition, she is opposed to expanding women's rights (ironically enough).

The only good thing is that she plans to promote pro-family policies to encourage childbirth. Japan's population is shrinking now because deaths are outnumbering births.

Once again, the board mouthpiece for the CCP lies. He must be on a very short leash.

...

Do you think US presidents should stop visiting Arlington National Cemetery if it "offends" someone?

Hey, dude, I'm not into that.

But if you are into leashes, that's kind of your thing. I'm not judging you.

Now, not that I think that you are capable of debate, but do you think glorifying Japan's role in WW2 is a good thing?

The Nanjing Massacre
The Bataan Death March
The Burma Railway

Or do they not cover these things in public education? (They probably don't most people in this country have never heard of them.)

...

She's one of these Shinzo Abe types, who don't think Japan did anything bad during WWII.

...

How much does the CCP pay you for each of these untrue posts?

Yeah, here's an article from NPR...(bunch of commies)

She also has what Hall describes as hardline views on Japan's WWII history. In remarks over the years, she has downplayed Japan's aggression during the war and criticized the war crimes trials that the Allies held afterward to convict Japan's wartime leaders.

Takaichi has been known to regularly visit the controversial Yasukuni Shrine, though she has recently refrained from doing so to avoid political and diplomatic backlash. Yasukuni is a controversial Shinto shrine that honors the spirits of Japan's war dead, including some convicted war criminals from World War II.

Takaichi has also courted controversy with her disdain for immigrants and even tourists, a rapidly growing industry in Japan. While campaigning, she cited unconfirmed reports of tourists kicking sacred deer in Nara Park, part of a larger criticism of tourism that many saw as xenophobic.

"It also ties into a general dislike of foreign people and also immigrants who live in the country," Hall says.

You destroy your legitimate posts by defending China all the time. China is a threat to the US and the world and because you have a Chinese member of your family you claim otherwise and are stupid about it.

How is China a threat? Because a bunch of rich Americans moved our jobs over there.

Seems your rage is misdirected.

I've had a love for Chinese culture long before I met my current wife.

China is threatening all her neighbors and seizing islands all over the place to make a claim it is Chinese waters. And where they can't seize an island, they make a fake one, they are building a huge navy and an invasion force for Taiwan and threatening everyone about it.
