Ha. I might have seen you in Haight-Ashbury. I went to the Free Clinic there once, in the late 60s, when I was hiding out from the FBI.

I'm skeptical about outright conspiracies. I would be surprised ... not drop-dead surprised, but surprised -- if they knew who the pipe bomber was. The problem with things like that is, if several people know about it, it's very insecure. You risk someone telling.

I can understand their being less vigorous in going after the Left, than against the Right ... although I would again be surprised if they didn't go after any really violent Leftists .. I don't mean the kids who throw bricks at riots, but were there to be a contemporary equivalent of Weatherman, or the Symbionese Liberation Army, bomb planters and arsonists -- people like the Earth Liberation Front.

The old Hard Left -- the outright Marxists, the Leninists --believe that the capitalist state must be smashed -- although they are careful to avoid taking part in direct violence themselves at the moment. But they're a small minority within the Left. The modern Left is successfully taking over the state -- turning its security organs, the police and military, into hideous caricatures of themselves, hollowing them out..

So they'll be aiming to transform the police ... to make them 'woke', to turn them against us. They have a major problem, however, with the Black lumpenproletariat ... who don't care about Leftist strategy. So there is serious tension between a de-gutted police force, and keeping the looters away from toney liberal-patronized shops, as we saw in San Franciso.

On the one hand, liberals/leftists believe Black criminality is the fault of white society. So they want to be soft on criminals. On the other hand, they don't enjoy being the targets of it, and the criminals don't discriminate on the basis of the politics of their victims.

As for Ray Epps. At first I thought he was obviously a plant. Then I read his Congressonal Testimony, at the urging of a Lefty here ... and changed my mind. His story sounded real. On the other hand, there is something strange about him. I know some Oathkeepers in Arizona, where he was the nominal head for a while, about a decade ago. He just faded from the scene, which is not what an agent would have done. He may be someone the FBI had something on, blackmailed into activity for a while ... then allowed to back off... then reactivated. I don't know.

I don't think we should just dondemn the whole FBI outright. I would be willing to bet that most agents are decent people, who just want to catch bad guys. I'm on their mailing list, and most of their press releases are about catching robbers and child pornography merchants. It's the people at the top at whom we must look.
