He lied about the time line, he claimed he released the document after a Trump tweet about possible tapes, when in fact he did it the day before that tweet.

That was Tramp's lawyer's lie. The memo was not leaked until the 16th and Tramp's tweet was on the 12th. There was no mention of a "MEMO" in the NY Times prior to the 16th.

So, Trump and his snowflakes brigades are now pretending that any conversation with the President is classified info. That's how desperate they are.

If the Trump team had, ahead of time, tried to invoke Executive Privilege, they'd have had a very shaky legal leg to stand on. Their claim would have been shot down by the courts quickly, but it would have blocked Comey for a short time. That's why Comey put out written testimony first, so that they couldn't invoke EP at the last moment.

So, they didn't invoke EP at all, and there's no such thing as retroactive EP. Ordinary conversations with the president are not classified, so there's nothing Comey "leaked". If the topic was classified, Comey stated he couldn't talk about it in an open forum, such as with the dossiere. He only spoke of non-classified things. Hence, it's just citizen Comey talking about conversations he had with the President.

Trump snowflakes, being raging authoritarians, have trouble understanding that. They believe all conversations with DearLeader must be kept secret, because only traitors will show disloyalty to DearLeader by revealing his lawbreaking.
