WASHINGTON — A spokeswoman says Jack Kemp, a former quarterback, congressman and one-time vice-presidential nominee, has died.

He played a very influential role in supply side economics, but with him it wasn't so much about the wealthy keeping their money as it was about freeing up money to the true entrepreneurs to allow for new businesses to prosper. He had a better understanding than most that it is the small businesses that drive the US economy, and his efforts were focused on that point. He will be missed.
