Jack Kemp has died

He played a very influential role in supply side economics, but with him it wasn't so much about the wealthy keeping their money as it was about freeing up money to the true entrepreneurs to allow for new businesses to prosper. He had a better understanding than most that it is the small businesses that drive the US economy, and his efforts were focused on that point. He will be missed.

He was a great man. I especially liked this quote from one of your links:

"Pro football gave me a good perspective," he was quoted as saying. "When I entered the political arena, I had already been booed, cheered, cut, sold, traded, and hung in effigy."

One of the more respected Republican members of the Reagan era. His book American Renaissance is a good read that Republicans of today would do well to peruse...

A great man.

The nation and Republican Party would be much better off if Reagan had chosen him in 1980 over Bush.
