Vance’s Timely Departure Act would require foreign nationals hoping to enter the U.S. on temporary visas to pay between $5,000 and $15,000 in a bond or cash payment to the Department of Homeland Security. They would then get that sum back only if they exit the U.S. in accordance with the terms of their visas.

No need for that large of bond, a $100.00 nonrefundable bond would be adequate. Then if the visitor overstays, allow bounty hunters to find and take them into custody. You pay the bounty hunters out of the bond fund. Then deport them with only the clothes on their backs. Any luggage, jewelry or other things of value would be sold at auction to pay for the ticket to deport them. Of course you'd need an effective entry/exit system to make it work.

I've been telling my congresscritters this for years. Of course we'd need 60 republicans in the senate, the commiecrats will never vote for anything that will actually work.
