Bill Mahr calls the new immigration bill "silly"

Got a link for that? I do think some, if not many are likely not to show up, and with the wait for a judge case 4 years now, it has to be getting worse.....! But is it really MOST that don't show up???

The key, imo...is to get enough immigration judges to hear these asylum seeker cases within the first 1 to 6 months after they turn themselves in. If we did this, then all the rejected asylum seekers would have no chance to disappear, and if rejected by the immigration court, would be deported immediately... Many, if not most, are rejected by the courts as asylum seekers in the past.

When most asylum seekers are deported home in the first 1-6 months, WORD of it would get around....they spent their life's savings and assets, on getting to America, not able to disappear in to the darkness in our country, and the courts rejected them...sent home even more broke than they were before they caravanned up to the USA!!!

This WORD of what really happens to their fellow compadre when arriving in the USA, will DAMPER future caravans to the USA! :)
/——/ Too dumb to do your own research. We always have to spoon feed you guys everything.
According to a fact sheet released by the Department of Justice in December of 2020, “Forty-nine percent (49%) of all non-detained or MPP removal cases completed in FY 2020 resulted in an in-absentia order of removal due to an alien’s failure to attend a scheduled immigration court hearing.” This means that approximately half of all illegal aliens don’t attend their final court hearing. This statistic alone debunks the claims made by the AIC.

Legally, migrants seeking refugee status are allowed to be here. That is the LAW.

You can’t deport them until they have a hearing

This legislation provides for more judges so you can expedite the process
Did they change the law 3 years ago? Odd if they didn’t because we didnt have these problems then. Certainly not to the degree we have them now. The admin also sets the threshold that qualifies as a valid asylum claim. Prior to 3 years ago the claimant had to articulate why they feared to go back to their home country. Now they just have to say it. They lowered the bar and that’s a choice, one they could change. The admin could also hold those people at the border until their hearing. Set up courts there and run people through at the cyclic rate. Instead of spending the border patrol budget on processing and transporting illegal migrants all over the country, giving them cell phones and aid use it to process people’s claims and get them either into the system or back across the border. Also the admin changed the remain in Mexico policy which was very effective. This admin has been and continues to be bad on this issue by choice. They don’t need another law to stop that

If you stop them before they request asylum, then there's no need for asylum. There's nothing that say that can't be turned away before requesting asylum. It's only AFTER they've request it.

The thin line.

Nope. Not how it works. You need to change the law and pass a bill that moves the process along more quickly and keeps fewer from just being fully released for long lengths of time before their hearing.

Just like republicans have been calling for.

Jus like what is in the bill that the orange slob is killing to help his chances of getting out of criminal indictments.

The law? What's the law got to do with stopping an illegal from coming to the US side? Finding out "why they've come to the US" is the legal part. Stopping them before they do, isn't.

They are following the law
They are legal

An illegal does not have permission to be here.
A migrant seeking sanctuary does

Asylum seekers can do that anywhere, at any US embassy, and do not have to come to the US.
No legislation is needed to provide for more judges.
