It's time to arrest the employers

Who is to blame?

1. Customers who demand low prices for goods and services and don't bother to ask if the food they're buying was harvested illegally.
2. Employers who pay under MW wages to illegal immigrants who are glad to get paid anything and can't say anything so in turn they can charge the low prices customers are demanding.
3. Government drones who look the other way because they don't want to be the face on the 24/7 images of people being marched onto planes or buses in handcuffs.
4. Government drones who openly impede or counter efforts to make it more difficult to enter the country undetected.
5. Sanctuary cities and states that openly defy federal government policy so those here illegally don't have to leave, even if they commit violent crimes.

Which group(s) are you in? It's not as simple as just finding one group that you're not in and yelling, "It's their fault!!".

I've argued consistently that without the jobs here, a large percentage simply go home because there is no way but for a small few to survive here any other way.
The cartels and gangs are always hiring. They pay well
Too.

Back in the 1970's, us local kids would help the farmers at harvest time. Most kids made their spending money on those farms. Then the Mexicans came in, and we were all let go. So now you are gonna tell me that they are doing the work Americans won't do, right?
Back in the 70's says a lot right there and not many American kids are going out to work on the farm today. But in my thread we weren't discussing farms but rather construction.

Back when 35% of Americas workforce was unionized, companies couldn't get away with it. If one shop was union and the other was not and the union guys got wind the competition was hiring illegals, well.... we raided them.

"Between 1999 and 2003, work-site enforcement operations were scaled back 95 percent by the Immigration and Naturalization Service, which subsequently was merged into the Homeland Security Department. The number of employers prosecuted for unlawfully employing immigrants dropped from 182 in 1999 to four in 2003, and fines collected declined from $3.6 million to $212,000, according to federal statistics.

"In 1999, the United States initiated fines against 417 companies. In 2004, it issued fine notices to three."

It's almost like allowing massive inflows of third world labor, undermined the leverage of AMERICAN WORKERS...

Jeeze, who could have forseen that?

LOL.

Also, it is worth noting that everytime a lefty brought up arresting employers, their intent was to UNDERMINE any pushback on the flood of illegals.

So, you lefties support the current...well, now recent status quo, where the labor market was flooded with third world labor, legal and illegal, to fuck over the american workers.

MAGA is about putting the interests of hte American worker first.

Strawberry picking was good spending money when I was a teenager. We all knew that all we had to do was be there and we got the jobs.

You are in dire need of education. The cartels are the 5th largest employer in Mexico. They continually recruit in this country.

I had no idea we were discussing the employment situation in Mexico.

They recruited here in South Dakota, on the reservation. That's what caused the indians to kick Kristi Noem off the reservation, because they were whoring for the drug money and trafficking their own children.

Me and my brothers picked strawberries when we were kids. We made significantly more than minimum wage. It was piece work.

The Tohono O’odham reservation in Arizona has been cartel territory for decades.

So far thumbs down. From my experience personally, he's already hurt me. We are doing free trade with other countries. Now we're not? He's fucking up the flow of business.

Remember he didn't tell us how serious covid was because he didn't want to disturb his good economy? Now he doesn't care. This isn't going to be good for workers. Illegals or legals will continue to flow in because THEY need them. Let me know when you benefit from this. Right now, I've been hurt. Personally.
