They insist that Trump's approval numbers can't really be this low, but they cannot cite any worthwhile arguments as to why it wouldn't be this low.

When Trump realizes the investigations are focusing on his business dealings, and the problems that might cause for his business holdings, he very well might pack up his stuff and go back to Trump tower in hopes that he can stop it all that way.
