It's a COLD a common cold

The civet-alpaca spike-sequence link has just been found.

One of two civet sequences differ, which means that the communist Chinese should be called out for their irresponsible punk-ass sloth in not documenting the foci of the SARS-CoV reservoir via (geography [italics]).

How about instead of you trying to impress others with your grasp of virus nomenclature, just put things in layman’s terms, OK?
i think they were only using those animals to make antibodies.
Raccoon dogs are a SARS-CoV reservoir and are commercially grown. But as far as is known, no documents identify which farm they came from.

We will be referring back to the Belarus study that suggests yak as intermediate host of SARS-CoV-2. Because camels are intermediate host of MERS, a comparison between alpaca and yak show identical sequences. Therefore, since all camelids originated in the United States, the proposal is that early camelids and their viruses did travel both ways across Beringia, which was once a grassland.
There are sequences from another alpaca strain that are also identical
with (human) HCoV-229E at the same spike positions:

Alpaca strain Q06DB7 401-444
RKVDLQLGNLGYLQSFNYRIDTTATSCQLYYNLPAANVSVSRFN

Yak
RKVDLQLGNLGYLQSFNYRIDTTATSCQLYYNLPAANVSVSRFN

Not quite identical, though one can see the relationship come through the sequences:

Alpaca I1VWF5 410-460
AYINSYTIGSLYVSWSDGDGITGVPKVEGVSSFMNVTLNKCTKYNIYDVSGVGVIRISN

HCoV-229E
VANWAYSKYYTIGSLVYSWSDGDGITGVPQPVEGVSSFMNVTLDVGGNYNYLYRLFRKSN

So alpaca, originating in the United States, links to people who ride yaks in Yunnan.

If one puts the sequences to graph paper, there is one hydrogen atom difference between D and N., basically the same expression at that location, as well as the mostly interchangeable branch-chain aminos, L, V, and I.
