What do you think about these places?

I've never had it done, simply because you are put on a registry anyone can get info from.
I'm a completely private person, and theres NO WAY I would ever do this.
Especially now that I've seen this video. LOL

Not FAKES, but sometimes engaged in fraud on what they represent to the great unwashed ignorati.

Most people have no idea on how to interpret about comments on DNA. Myself, I tend to seek out scientists involved in the studies of it.

well, too limited on the info in your post/video bro...if I had just watched the video I would have thought "23 and me" was really on top of their game being able to get all that info on a lizard...as amazing as it may seem 'dante' pretty much hit the nail on the head. [though I am a bit perplexed on where he goes to seek out scientists]

If this story is legitimate, it really warrants an investigation.

Yes and there is a real danger of rampant fraud and/or illegal activities which run across many risks, especially with the advent of a virus such as covid but I digress.

Let me explain one frightening scenario which may sound like a conspiracy but many conspiracies of the past have been proven truth years later.

This example is particularly dangerous in Canada due to the unaccountable police state. The police or an Intel agency want to destroy someone's life, he is innocent but is on someone's list as an undesirable one. The crooked apparatus does not need to encourage the target directly but through a covert asset convince their sister or brother to complete some DNA test.

They complete it under the guise of knowing their heritage (I never understood why someone would willingly give up that much of their privacy but whatever). Years later, the police use his DNA test to link his sibling to some crime. Plant the poor suckers DNA, use he database from their sibling to frame him through linking.

I have little confidence after what I have gone through in this nation and I suspect this could become a reality in the future as our species loses more of our morality and principle. It is bad enough today, it will not improve as belief in G-d and guardrails disappear.

You are little behind. 23 and Me filed for bankruptcy in March.

23andMe filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on March 23, 2025, and is in the process of selling its assets, raising concerns about the privacy and handling of customer genetic data.

You lair because you do not understand how criminal and corrupt some nations are. Even if you have bad apples, your systems as a wholesale braces your Constitution and Bill of Rights. Most nations of the world have central government for which citizens rights are nothing but a mirage.

I don't think of it that way at all

Testing someone's DNA and giving them a report telling them they are 5% Ashkenazi and 2% Senegalese, example given, gives them something to talk about for a modest price. Sort of like a dame reading tea leaves or the veins on someone's hands.

My sister bought this, and shared it with her siblings, and it provided literally years of entertainment and speculation.

Just because someone is bullshitting you a little bit doesn't make it a "fraud"
