It's 100º Where I Am, Real Feel is 107º

Let's have ametican citizen workers out there in extreme heat for the sake of the well off.

And the alternative is illegals who will be slaves and let us kill them in the heat for less money.

Im fine with hiring americans but giving them paid time off when its unsafe. No productivity is important when its dangerous.

I remember being in Las Vegas in August a few years back. When I left the hotel and its AC, I felt like I was walking into a wall of heat. Then they’d tell me how it’s not that bad since it’s a dry heat. Then I’d remind them that so is my oven.
.

I was in west Texas for a few days in July, where the heat was like that.

And since I'm in South Dakota now, I got 105° with significant humidity. I can imagine how busy the A/C repair men are! It is considered an emergency if your A/C goes out. They are always ready to be there in the same day.

Much of my youth was spent in Phoenix or the CA central valley. I remember a June evening in Modesto in 1973 at 9:57 p.m. the temp on the Best Chevrolet sign was 102. Kind of unheard of there but was fairly common in Phoenix.
Twenty miles southeast of Fresno a swamp cooler was sufficient at our house in ‘72. I don’t recall being 100+ as uncomfortable as E. Texas when it gets to 85.

When I was a kid growing up in southeastern New Mexico, nobody but the very rich had any kind of air conditioning. But we survived quite nicely in 80, 90, 100 degree heat. Nobody fretted about 'life threatening' temperatures or that the planet was doomed because it was so hot.

99 degrees at the Orioles game last night.

I was in S Dakota a few summers ago during a hot day and I suggested to my colleague how grateful they must be to have a few days like that in S Dakota since there is so much cold and snow there the rest of the year. He retorted, in that distinct Minnesota-style dialect, “Oh, not really. We don’t see any snow until October.”

That humidity makes all the difference. I went to Miami the first time in Aug. of 76. I climbed off the plane to 93 degrees and the humidity was so high, I couldn't breathe. People down there must grow gills. I don't even remember humidity like that in Danang.

That’s why southron boys thrived over there. Like coming home.

And I am in the Northeast, Sound Shore area of New York.

I remember years ago in late June we had a real heatwave, so much so that the nuns in 7th or 8th grade told the boys, okay, you can take off your ties.

It's summer, sometimes it gets 🥵.
It's due to Climate Change. It's all your fault for not letting the dems spend 50 trillion dollars to save the planet. LOL

In South Florida at 5pm yesterday it was 79°.

May never happen again in my lifetime that South Florida was the place to be to stay cool at the end of June.
