It was just a matter of time.

ACLU Responds to Trump’s Anti-Voter Executive Order

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The American Civil Liberties Union condemns President Donald Trump's executive order signed today, which aims to upend U.S. elections and disenfranchise millions of eligible voters. This directive represents a significant overreach of executive power and poses a direct threat to the fundamental right to vote.

The executive order directs the Election Assistance Commission to change the national mail voter registration form to require documentary proof of citizenship, such as a passport, to register to vote. The order also attempts to force states to enact documentary proof of citizenship requirements and to stop counting absentee and mail-in ballots received after Election Day in accordance with state law by threatening to withhold federal funding.

Suppressing the vote of folks who don't fit in the POT demographic group has been a project of Repubs since trump lost the election in 2020.
The courts will say, "no, no, little Donald."

My dislike of the two-term limit has nothing to do with Trump, who I don't particularly care for. It's my belief that Presidents (even Trump) shouldn't automatically become lame ducks with diminished influence just because they're in their final two years of office.

As for those in congress for what seems a lifetime, this is another result of our system restricting the citizens right to choose their representatives. The choices given to us are determined by a minority of voters determining one candidate while a separate minority picks the other. I don't believe the solution is an additional restriction on the choice we citizens have by imposing congressional term limits. I believe in non-partisan elections where our choices are opened up to everyone.

That's just my 2¢ on the matter.

Screw the ACLU. They are doing their best to remain relevant.

Constitutional amendment to allow Trump third term introduced in the House

Just relax. Democrats need to sit in the back quietly while Trump cleans up their giant mess in his 2nd and final term. We have 4 years to identify the next Trump like president so we can continue to beat the Democrats senseless and make then suffer.
