It Was Just a Halftime Show. The Meltdown Reveals How Dumb We’ve Become

Lol, the halftime show ruffling feathers. I am old. The bands I would like to see are either dead or to old to perform. I imagine this is the case for many people on here. It ain't gunna change. So get over it

Americans speak their minds. Football is an American CULTURE sport. I dont want to listen to Spanish.

So it SUCKS. Those that dont like my opinion. I could care less
Then don’t listen to it. Who cares. I remember La Bamaba and The Macarena were huge hits that Americans loved without all the xenophobic hyperbole around them.

The author laid this out perfectly. Many of you on both the right and the left played your parts perfectly. You operated as programmed and never once thought for yourselves.

The conservative backlash wasn’t really about music. It was about discomfort with change and the refusal to admit that not everything is designed to feel familiar anymore. The progressive overpraise wasn’t really about art either. It was about signaling moral alignment and extracting symbolic meaning from something engineered to be disposable. Both reactions inflated the significance of a spectacle precisely because triviality does not feed engagement.

That’s the part worth lingering on. We now live in an ecosystem where boredom is intolerable and neutrality is suspicious. Everything has to be a fight. Every cultural artifact must be processed through a partisan lens or it feels wasted. A halftime show cannot just exist. It has to offend, affirm, threaten, or redeem.

The saddest part is how joyless this all feels. The Super Bowl used to be a night where people argued about commercials and laughed at the excess of it all. Now it’s another venue for pre-scripted outrage, another excuse to perform allegiance. Nobody looks happy doing this. They look committed.

The problem with last night wasn’t the halftime show. It was the hunger to turn a forgettable performance into a referendum.

Football is the one area of Americana the left hasn't been able to control. It features everything the left hates: discipline, teamwork, effort, masculinity, testosterone, and military-like strategy. If the left had its way, football would be banned, Oh, they've tried. All those concussion hearings in 0bama's administration were only directed at football; nothing about the far-more-numerous concussion in soccer. And the sexual assault headlines. Only stories about football players; none about assaults by other athletes. The left has somewhat succeeded in making the NFL woke with the 'end racism' crap written in the endzones for a few years, the endorsement of kneel downs. But those things have gone away under Trump. But they'll be back if the Democrats win again. The goal is to neuter or feminize men. Football is an obstacle to that. It has to be ended.

Not even close. Our president should not be pushing that shit. He is a complete embarrassment with the way he used social media and trolls his opponents. No character or integrity whatsoever

As usual the LIBs showed a snippet...not showing the whole story.

The libs didn't get their panties in a bunch and do an alternate half time with D list groups.
Panties in a bunch, or perhaps just wanting to hear songs in English, that could be understood?

Meh...
Dunno about that.

It's only political because the NFL made it that way.

The last decade has shown us that the NFL is NOT family friendly....despite the claims.

Now they prefer a political agenda added to pushing boundaries of decency.
Budweiser tried that too.

They knew what they were doing when they made their choice.
And are going to receive the pushback for doing so.
And groups like TPUSA are going to capitalize on their perceived opportunities.
They did and won.

It's a culture war moreso than a political one. Been fighting that one for a long time ever since the Salem Witch Trials..

Figure it out.

Yawn! That wasn't done because racists caught a case of butthurt because of who was performing.
They did it because the official halftime show was boring.

Why are you so butt hurt over an alternative half time show? Oh because less people are tuning into the gay promotion show.

Who says I was butthurt?

YOU.

Ha! The Bad Bunny halftime performance set a record. The Make America White Again halftime show was barely watched.

Who the **** watches the halftime show? Seriously. I think the last time I saw a half time show was when Timberlake pulled JJ's titty out.

This is the typical GASLIGHT BULLSHIT we've come to expect from the demented LEFT.
They shit on your head and then they mock you for noticing.
This approach is a special kind of EVIL, and it's no surprise who wrote the OP.

Right? Leftists claim Americans are "melting down" because we'd like to hear music in our language. And in the next breath they are squealing like little girls over a silly AI video. LOL
The same ass clowns have been crying about the Superbowl halftime show for the last 10yrs.
