….OK, sleepy Joe is now speaking, sort of.

Joey Xi is trying to speed Breyer's retirement. If there's any ethical breaches, it's in the racist choice of a Black woman to the Supreme Court. The choice should be the best jurist in the U.S. to be chosen. To Progressive Marxist Socialist/DSA Democrats it's all about RACE! It's always been about Race to them...

They are worried about another Ruth Ginzburg scenario.
Ah yes, the unhinged democrat mob driving out one of their own. No wonder why Manchin and Sinema are practically making the decisions right now.
You should see the attack ads the Dems are running in Arizona against Sinema. She has turned out to be a true Centrist and they absolutely HATE HER for it.

And Biden and the Dems are so stupid - or obstinate - that they proudly announce, ahead of time, that they will make the decision first and foremost, based on race and gender.

Dems are such racists. Unbelievable.

Is there ANY evidence Bryer is somehow being forced out as opposed to him simply realizing that retiring now will be for the best?

I know you rightwingers like to feed each other fantasies and all, but how about even a drop of evidence?

It would be poetic justice if the SCOTUS took up the case whether an entire race of people can be excluded from job consideration based solely on skin color, and the decision goes 5-4 that it remains illegal to discriminate based on race, gender, religion, etc., such as what Biden has done.

A question to Americans: It appears to be the president being responsible for making the choice, and then it being approved by congress.

Should it not be congress making the choice? At least that could help to eliminate the obvious political bias being the biggest consideration for Scotus judges.

Currently, it's Biden who chooses and it's highly unlikely his choice will be accepted by congress.
I would suggest that McConnell's hijacking of the process was quite legitimate.

Excepting of course that a judge shouldn't be chosen according to political bias, but should be chosen based on other factors.

Simply the fact that Breyer's retirement was leaked. Why would he (Breyer) advertise his retirement 6 months in advance?

It’s highly likely Biden’s choice will be accepted. I expect Biden to nominate someone from the extreme left - who will see her role as building “equity“ rather than ensure the Constitution is not violated - but anyone who objects to her will be accused of….you guessed it….racism.

Thank G-d that the Court is 6-3, or 5-4 on a bad day, but remains conservative. No conservative justice is going to resign, so that will stay.

Honestly I hope he delays his retirement till the end of the year.

This is obviously a play to try and hurry up and get a black affirmative action woman that's a democrat in there as quickly as possible.

He’s going to be under pressure to leave sooner, and the Dems are capable of some very, VERY strong-arming. If he doesn’t want a bloody horse head in his bed, he’ll leave when asked.

Obviously, but it's more likely that he's making his choice based on his own politics. He knows that after November there will be no chance of a leftist replacement.

A judge of his caliber would be interested in some semblance of balance.

The term ends in September
