It looks like we share many of the same sentiments and are far from alone in our disgust over the way that the Gaza genocide is being both executed, excused and distorted.
I am not at all surprised but encouraged at the growing number of ethical and courageous Jews who are also not only repulsed by the murderous machination of the Netanyahu government and Israel's rabid right wing.
Israel wants regime change in every country it doesn't like. Israel is the one that needs a regime change, it needs to accept the independence of a non-HAMAS Palestine and Gaza, and to do war crimes trials against those who have done war crimes, and accept a secular government. If they could do that I would have no issue with Israel.
Their myopic madness is clearly not shared by all Jews or all Israelis. (1)
Nope. I have seen tons of Jews and Israelis who don't like their government. It is not anti-semitic to question, and oppose Israel. Those who are Zionists, and rabid Israelibots would want us to think it is, but their insults, and wordplay won't fool me.
Among the many reasons I am both alarmed and strongly opposed to the US Government's criminal complicity in Netanyahu's unbridled aggression and genocidal expansionism is the inevitable Blowback endangering all Jews around the world as well as America's G.I.s and US targets abroad.
Nothing could be worse for America's reputation and best interests as well as Israel's genuine long term security than their obvious willingness to allow the most widely known "surprise" attack of 7 October 2023 to occur as an opportunity to destroy then seize Gaza while exterminating and / or expelling Palestine's native residents.
All their actions have done is Alienate Israel and Jews around the world, and it will continue as long as this insane attempt at cultural destruction and genocide continues. The US should sanction, and cease all trade towards the Israeli government. Israeli war mongerers don't deserve a dime.
I hold the view if these people actually understood what was going on they would quickly shift their viewpoint when exposed to the truth. But sometimes, some people will keep crying that the sky isn't blue and keep their heads in the sand. Some people here on this site waste their time with childish insults and flame wars, so I just put them on the ignore list. Honest discussions are fine, we don't have to agree, but the bare minimum should at least be to not use childish insults and slanderous attempts to label anyone that they don't like as "Anti-Semitic".Amen!
Next to puerile and moronic name calling and obsessively howling "anti Semite", stubborn and chronic denial of irrefutable facts are among the most common ploys among those attempting to defend the indefensible.
Because I worked as a Psychiatric Case Worker on a large, inner-city, Emergency Psychiatric Unit, I feel more sympathy than vexation for our gaggle of snarky, evasive and insulting genocidal shills.
After all, imagine the loneliness of angry and hate filled individuals left with only a life of anonymously and compulsively insulting strangers hour after hour.
I certainly don't expect everyone to agree with my opinions and enjoy learning other views. It's entirely possible to hold other opinions and still discuss issues with civility.
There's always more to be learned even after spending time in the Middle East and studying its history for over 60 years
The people who are acting like this want us to think they are saints, crusaders who are defending a "Holy" nation. What kind of Holy Nation wants to eliminate its neighbors, wipe out populations, and eliminate all dissent within its country?
"The chosen people" doesn't excuse genoside ....... neither of or by the Jews.
