An atrocity... Soldiers shooting unarmed civilians at a terrorist march where reports of nail bombs and snipers had been given to the British army...

Even if it's the 1972 event, the fatalities were caused by, at most, two hits against fleeting targets of opportunity at short to medium range during a high stress, highly charged situation. This incident was against a stationary (or walking) female at point blank range.
The one in N.I. that resulted in deaths caused by British troops doing what they were trained to do, kill enemies. That is what you fail to grasp the Palestinians are at war with Israel and are enemies, that alone makes every action legal under current international and humanitarian laws.

Define civilians in a war zone first and you will better understand. Were German nationals civilians during WW2, were Viet Cong civilians in Vietnam ?
Are Palestinians who have declared war on Israel civilians ?
Civilian
noun
a person not in the armed services or the police force.
adjective
of, denoting, or relating to a person not belonging to the armed services.
So what is a terrorist or a member of the militia ? Or a citizen of a state that has declared war on you ?
