Crushing Iran is America's issue that must be dealt with. Iran was a stepping stone in the PNAC agenda of destroying Russia. Now Iran has become much more than a step. They are a conventional weapons superpower, and perhaps the world's second most powerful, behind Russia.

We need to confine the discussion to conventional weapons superiority because America created the situation in which nuclear weapons is not an option. In that respect, America isn't a key player until it catches up.
