Israel & Turkey Bury the Hatchet

There was much anti-Israel dancing in the streets (and on this board) following the tragic deaths aboard the Mavi Marmara (2010). Turkey cut diplomatic relations with Israel and promised a new naval presence in the Mediterranean to protect Palestinians and future "humanitarian flotillas."

Not only did the naval presence never materialize, but just five years later Turkey and Israel have once again found their common ground far outweighs their differences.

Funny how these things always seem to work out OK for Israel and not so well for the anti-Israel cabal.

Growing volumes of Caspian oil are flowing thru Black Sea ports such to Western markets by tanker via the Turkish Straits. Caspian oil and oil from northern Iraq also cross Turkey by pipeline, through the Ceyhan oil terminal on Turkey's Mediterranean coast.

Several of the Arab countries are friendly with Israel including Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia & Turkey. Bad news for Palestinians. Most others are neutral or could care less about Israel but don't want any war with Israel. As for Syria, well, that's another story.
