The Map means nothing unless it is supported by evidence of substance and the reality. The Arab Palestinians must present some kind of evidence to sovereignty — apart from there declaration. —The establishes that someone actually exercises the power of government, not just say they have a right to establish such.. The reality is that there is territory. The Israelis have it, and the Arab Palestinians want to take control; but they cannot.

I knew you would duck that one.
(COMMENT)

For several hundred years prior to the defeat of the Ottoman Empire --- the Arab Palestinian did not exercise sovereign control. At the end of the Mandate, the successor government was passed from the British to the UN Palestine Commission.

The Israelis were able to establish a sovereign state under their full authority; and successfully defend it against the Arab League aggressors.

Where and when did the Arab Palestinians establish sovereign control of any territory?
When and where did the Arab Palestinians establish a government able to stand lone?
Where and when did the Israelis take full control over any Arab Palestinian Sovereignty?

There was no Arab Palestinian Sovereignty for the Israelis to take away...
There was no stand alone Arab Palestinian government for the for the Israelis to deal with.
There was no stand-alone, autonomous and self-supporting government for the Israelis to replace.

Where and when did the Israelis usurp anything from the Arab Palestinians?

I hear this argument quite frequently claiming that the Arab Palestinian has the right to defend their country. They try to use the Nationality clause in the Treaty of Lausanne. But that only establishes that the Arab Palestinians have the right to Mandate Authority Citizenship. It does not make mention of any territory or political subdivision called "Palestine;" or the distribution of such a territory.

The Government of Palestine = HM Britannic Majesty's Government as the Mandatory for Palestine... The same is true for the hand-off from Britain to the UNPC.

The memorandum, transmitted to the Commission by the British Delegation to the United Nations, sets forth the position of the Mandatory Power with respect to the question of the successor government in Palestine after the termination of the British mandate. Pertinent excerpts from the memorandum are as follows:

  • "Palestine is today a legal entity but it is not a sovereign state. Palestine is a territory administered under mandate by His Majesty (in respect of the United Kingdom), who is entirely responsible both for its internal administration and for its foreign affairs.

    "After the 15th May, 1948, Palestine will continue to be a legal entity but it will still not be a sovereign state because it will not be immediately self-governing. The authority responsible for its administration will, however, have changed.

    "Where the sovereignty of Palestine lies at the present time is a disputed and perhaps academic legal question about which writers have expressed a number of different conclusions. Where the sovereignty of Palestine will lie after the 15th May, 1948, is perhaps also a question on which different views will be held, but so far as His Majesty's Government are aware, it is a question which it is unnecessary to answer in connection with any practical issues.
"After the 15th May, 1948, the United Nations Commission will be the Government of Palestine. It does not seem very material whether it is considered to be the de facto or the de jure Government. In any case, its title to be the Government of Palestine will rest on the resolution of the General Assembly."

It has become a comical farce, in a mordant sort of way, that the West has allowed the UN to become little more than an agency tasked to dole out funds to Islamic terrorists.

It would help if your posts had anything to do with reality.

I'm not convinced you understand terms and definitions by claiming the Mandate was never implemented. Again, you're hoping to re-write the historical record because events took a path that conflicts with your biases. You seem stuck on some false notion that the Arab-Moslem squatters must have had some requirement to give up half their land. Another unsupported and false claim. Let's remember that the Ottoman Turks relinquished all rights and title to the land area they had conquered earlier. The Mandatory was then the entity which had control of the land.
I understand what you are saying, but again, the mandate was never implemented. So, we are back to the real question. If the zionists were to ask any other people on earth for half of their land "because the UN voted," would any of them go for that?

That is a question. The UN Palestine Commission

"After the 15th May, 1948, the United Nations Commission will be the Government of Palestine.
So, when is the UN going to take responsibility for the people and territory under its trust?
(COMMENT)

Because of the conflict that erupted, the United Nations Mediator in Palestine, which relieved the United Nations Palestine Commission from the further exercise of its responsibilities.

1. Empowers a United Nations Mediator in Palestine, to be chosen by a committee of the General Assembly composed of representatives of China, France, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, to exercise the following functions:

(a) To use his good offices with the local and community authorities in Palestine to:

(i) Arrange for the operation of common services necessary to the safety and well-being of the population of Palestine;

(ii) Assure the protection of the Holy Places, religious buildings and sites in Palestine;

(iii) Promote a peaceful adjustment of the future situation of Palestine;
(b) To co-operate with the Truce Commission for Palestine appointed by the Security Council in its resolution of 23 April 1948;1/

(c) To invite, as seems to him advisable, with a view to the promotion of the welfare of the inhabitants of Palestine, the assistance and co-operation of appropriate specialized agencies of the United Nations, such as the World health Organization, of the International Red Cross, and of other governmental or non-governmental organizations of a humanitarian and non-political character;

The United Nations Mediator in Palestine was replaced by the UN Conciliation Commission - Palestine (UNCCP): A/RES/ 194 (III) 11 DEC 1948...

Establishes a Conciliation Commission consisting of three States members of the United Nations which shall have the following functions:

(a) To assume, in so far as it considers necessary in existing circumstances, the functions given to the United Nations Mediator on Palestine by resolution 186 (S-2) of the General Assembly of 14 May 1948;

(b) To carry out the specific functions and directives given to it by the present resolution and such additional functions and directives as may be given to it by the General Assembly or by the Security Council;

(c) To undertake, upon the request of the Security Council, any of the functions now assigned to the United Nations Mediator on Palestine or to the United Nations Truce Commission by resolutions of the Security Council; upon such request to the Conciliation Commission by the Security Council with respect to all the remaining functions of the United Nations Mediator on Palestine under Security Council resolutions, the office of the Mediator shall be terminated;

The United Nations Conciliation Commission for Palestine is still around (I think), the last I heard about them was in December 2013. They were, if memory serves me, theey were still attempting to do something about
protection of Arab property, assets and property rights in Israel A/RES/68/79 11 DEC 2013... I think it is a non-starter since no one is cooperating.

That s about all I know of them. I don't consider them to be a significant player.

The Courts can recognize anything they want even what they call a fallacy as real or true.

US courts do not grant foreign statehood.
True, but they recognize it when it exists.

Where do the Palestinians exercise fully sovereignty?

Most Respectfully,

They can't due to illegal external interference.

Palestine is the poster child of illegal external interference. It hasn't gone a day without it for a hundred years.
