I try not to be mean but I was listening to CGTN, Chinas media. It was in English obviously and I know I shouldn't expect the Chinese reporter to be an expert on these issues, still, the exchange was a bit funny considering the seriousness of the subject matter

She was interviewing what sounded like an American guest regarding this attack and she mentioned the Sunday scheduled nuclear negotiation meetings between America and Iran and the interaction went as follows:

CGTN reporter: "do you think they will meet for these discussions this Sunday"?

American Expert Guy: "no, I cannot see this now".

CGTN reporter: "What would be the sticking point"?

America Exprt Guy: delay in responding, perhaps incredulous at the obvious, "well, I cannot see them meeting while they are at war and in a state of emergency".

We should all pray for peace. Nothing good comes from war and there are always unexpected deaths on either side.

The reality is that the motive for this attack is to prevent a greater war down the road, but no war is appealing, we are the rarest of species in that we kill ourselves.

Iran had to have known this was the potential response from Israel, they simply cannot have a nuclear bomb and not one civilized democracy wants them to have one.

Strike the word democracy and replace it woyth government. Even tyrannies like Saudi Arabia don’t want Iran to have nukes.

The focus should be on their nuclear facilities.

Considering that Iran may want to retaliate against both Israel and the US, it would be prudent to destroy as much of Iran's military and military industry as possible, and considering that Israel has been under attack from Iran via its proxies for 35 years, now that the attack is underway, it might be prudent to weaken Iran's ability to supply and support it proxies. Two goals: destroy Iran's nuclear program and destroy Iran's ability to project power beyond its borders.

Considering that Iran may want to retaliate against both Israel and the US, it would be prudent to destroy as much of Iran's military and military industry as possible, and considering that Israel has been under attack from Iran via its proxies for 35 years, now that the attack is underway, it might be prudent to weaken Iran's ability to supply and support it proxies.

Well, it appears to me that the lack of a response from Iran, including any air defense response, means Israel hacked Iran's integrated air defense system. This has allowed Israel to destroy air defense assets as well as nuclear sites and eliminate the IRGC leadership.

Ah, the marvels of technology.
