Socialism and it's ideas "values" are solely developed onto a democratic system - were NOT a government controls or owns the economy, but the PEOPLE themselves via a basic democratic concept, e.g. the Jewish Kibutz system ( the only Socialist system existing and practiced on planet earth). - a dictatorial system - aka a government controlled system therefore can't claim to be Socialist - it's simply Communist if e.g. "common property" is directed, owned and controlled by a government.

I am curious, You want to defend Socialists yet call out Fascists. Why is that? Socialism is more broad than you seem to admit. I have posted elsewhere why the Socialists were the Nazis. It had a lot to do with benefits of the Nazis to the German public at large. Do you not realize the Germans were very pleased with Hitler until they got bombed by the allies. Did you wonder why they were so happy? It was because Hitler was a socialist and installed his programs that were excellent for the Germans. He loved Germans.
