The U.S. knows that unless a Palestinian state is created, Israel will annex the occupied lands and then the U.S. will have to decide whether to support an Israel that will either try to ethnically cleanse the non-Jews or will not afford them equal rights and citizenship. The U.S. knows that doing so, i.e. support Israel under those conditions will be a nightmare for the country and its status in the world. That's why we have been trying at all costs to save the two state solution. I think that even Kerry has given up though. Just facts folks, don't kill the messenger.

Kerry is letting the American Public know that Israel is the cause for ME wars so that he can justify an abstention in the Security Council and let the UN approval of the 1967 borders for Palestine.

Under the UN charter the UN cant do anything of the sort. There were never any 1967 borders just a ceasefire line, and UN 242 dictates that the Palestinians MUST negotiate mutually agreed borders. And every resolution since has said the same thing.
