Isn't it time that all kids be home schooled via Skype online classes?

No! Kids need to learn social interaction which can't be learned from that.

They do socially interact, they are involved in athletics, clubs, church groups, etc.

I know plenty of home schooled children, they are happy, well adjusted, not socially awkward and smart as whips
Okay, but, I mean, there's something to interacting with other kids. Seriously

I agree and good homeschooling parents make sure that happens.

We're lucky and fortunate enough to be able to send ours to private schools but if we couldn't I'd homeschool

Sure, and I know home schooled kids that don't know how to count change.

Only if you want your kids to grow up to be anti-social, awkward retards.
Yeah I'm sure you're right. How stupid of me. It would be far better that they become brainwashed by liberal teachers, become drug addicts or sexually active from peer pressure, gunned down, blown up, or raped by pedophiles.

I mean you do realize there are many other ways to socialize kids rather than send them into those situations, right? You know like sports and such?

So, these areas that are diverted, wouldn't they be like schools, only smaller?
If no parent can be home to do this and the kids have to go to the workplace with them, then at the very least they would be nearby if needed. And those areas would only need one adult to supervise just to make sure all students stay at their desks because the teacher online would be interacting as well. And besides that parents should be allowed full access to their son/daughter's online camera and sound at all times allowing them to tune in and/or record their classes and interaction. This would keep teachers from pushing their liberal ideology and keep their focus instead strictly on school subjects and also allow parents to see if their child acts up and needs discipline.

The same should work for other places as well where kids may need to go such as libraries and day cares. Before anyone says something about big brother watching, guess what, cameras are already installed in schools but they're simply used to expose bad behavior of the students, not the faculty. They are also on school buses as well so basically kids are already used to them.

You said a lot, but didn't answer the question. A simple yes or no will do.
What question? The smaller classroom one? I think I answered that in spades. There is no simple yes or no. And by the way these are all thoughts I'm coming up with as I go along. I just know that something needs to be done because the status quo no longer works. Our kids are being bullied, becoming vulnerable to shootings and bombings which will only increase, they're being subjected to brainwashing by liberal ideology, and are feeling pressured to cave to drugs and sexual promiscuity. And then there's the nut jobs running around school playgrounds with their zippers down which no doubt is due to internet porn that's becoming far too prevalent as well.

That's because some parents who supposedly home school really aren't doing the job. This would be done by actual teachers interacting via the internet.

Sure you do, that was probably inner city youths.

They send teams to debates, it's so sad watching them struggle, they can't even grasp basic English

I get it. You really believe all the hair on fire crap spouted by the crazy lady at the PTA meetings. Nice tinfoil hat she's got though.

So you agree that home schooling is a terrible thing to do to some kids. They need actual teachers who have been trained to recognize learning problems and techniques that can help. Good to hear it.

Some students need that teacher for motivation and even nurturing. Putting a screen in front of them doesn't mean it has their full attention. Maybe in the later grades. I could see that.
You may be right but I think the system should be implemented regardless allowing parents to opt in if it works for them. As time goes on, I think the program would definitely pick up speed and get more popular as terrorism, pedophilia, drugs, and brainwashing grow. Just in the last ten years the world has changed enormously and NOT for the better. So I think at the very least people should be allowed that option.

No. Suburban kids in a ton with excellent public schools. The parents were just RWNJs who were too lazy, or didn't have the knowledge themselves to teach their kids anything. The bad part is that there is no agency or laws requiring that the kids are being taught anything.

Actually some parents are great home schoolers while others not so much. But I meant a teacher would be on the other side interacting with the students. And it would be nicer for them too because they'd be able to do this from their homes as well.

With no outside interaction or monitoring. they would certainly be in an ideal position for brainwashing into terrorism. pedophilia, drugs, or anything else their parents might be into. Who would know what was going on? They could turn out a prostitute or suicide bomber before the kid even reached puberty. It's not like there would be concerns about outsiders finding out what as going on. There wouldn't be any outsiders.

Yes, some are. Many aren't.

Teachers should be well trained to look for that. Aside from that possibly a course taught to kids where they should go to get help if they need it outside their families and homes?

I mean I know of kids going to school now that this is happening to and know they'll probably become drug dealers and prostitutes so that's going to happen regardless whether they're in school or home. If parents are shitty, there really isn't much hope especially since DSS doesn't really do squat about anything even if a kid runs into their office stripped naked screaming rape. They in my opinion are pretty useless and don't give a rat's ass about kids. But in the long run I believe MOST kids would be safer and better off being home schooled via Skype.

It's only a matter of time.

Today there are around 2 million kids being home schooled in the US.

That is up from 100,000 in 1975

These kids are way smarter than public schooled kids......

That is the problem , most of them are Christians fundies.

Depending on the parents and the children it could be a viable option for many.

There are standardized tests that evaluate the expected curriculum in the nation. States follow that dictate religiously or their students rank poorly on the tests.
