It's not at all possible on the internet. One on one in real life it's hard enough, but just about every democrook I've known in the last 20 years is a complete blithering imbecile when it comes to their politics. They believe their political whores "care" about them, and the republicrats only care about "the rich". I've been able to change a couple people's attitudes and perspectives on some issues, but for the most part it's like teaching algebra to a fish tank. The discussions usually stay civil at least.

On the internet you can't reason with a bed wetter. They're deliberately ignorant and they're basically only here to parrot the shit they read somewhere else. Few people are here to learn. I can tell you I'm not going to learn anything from a moonbat because I was one until I started working for a living. I know what they're about and I know from experience that once you start finding a different perspective from these sorts of "friends", many of them end up not being your friend much longer.
