Zone1 Islamic scholar asks Christians "Why do you believe that Jesus is God and not "only" a Prophet ?

Throughout the Bible Israel means the Jews.. expressed as singular.

See Hosea 11:1 and Exodus 4:22 for starters. Did the Mormons change that?
Jesus as metaphorical/ritual sacrifice is present throughout the Old Testament, beginning with the animal whose skin 'covered' Adam and Eve.

There was no Jesus pronounced Geesus.
But Muhammad was a Christian taking the Gospel to Arabia. His uncle was Christian and His merchant wife was Christian. The Vatican had Him poisoned and what Muhammad taught was changed, Even His relatives were murdered. none the less the Quran says the "Jews" thought they murdered Christ, but didn't, and that means Christ's resurrection is supported by the Quran, despite the changes that occurred after Muhammad was murdered.

The Jews and Christians changed the understanding of “Jews.” Jews are of Judah. Ju or Jew. Israel has 12 tribes, not one.
Actually it was the Vatican that changed things by inventing the letter 'J' which was used to create Jesus, pronounced Geesus meaning seducing pig; And "Jews" designed to turn Edom-Esau into Israel/Yacob.

Most likely Yudah and Yu (jew)... In any event, it's incorrect to assume Jew = Israel since there are 12 tribes of Israel.

Jew = Edom ever since King Hyrcanus conquered Edom about 125 B.C. and incorporated many of them into His Kingdom of Yehuda. Eventually they took over the Kingship, Priesthood, Temple, Lawyers etc. and pretended to be Yehuda, but for the last 500 years of so, they call themselves Jews.

Yes it does. And, if you or others are going to use a passage from Isaiah, then you can’t cherry-pick and that’s what you did. I just pointed out that this person Isaiah talked about was God. It’s says father but we all know that Jesus becomes like our a father because he redeemed us through his atonement. And no prophet can atone for anyone’s sin. So, I was addressing the person who said Isaiah 9:6 is Jesus. You are so lost.

Isaiah is writing about Israel and Hezekiah (wonderful counselor) You can't change scripture.

The Edomites were forcibly converted.

This has nothing to do with Jehovah's Witnesses. It has everything to do with the book of Isaiah. There's no mention of Jesus or the Messiah. It's all about Israel... and then Christians insert Jesus. I think we should stick with the scriptures.

No, you think we should stick with your "interpretation" of the Scriptures.

That Jesus is "God with us", Immanuel, is fundamental to our faith. To question the divinity of Christ is to question the entire thing.

Isaiah is writing about Israel and Hezekiah, Wonderful Counselor. Don't change scripture. There's no mention of Jesus. Don't change Hosea either.

Wonderful Counselor is Jesus Christ. It’s you who have changed the everlasting gospel.

Read Isaiah all the way through. He's writing about Israel and Hezekiah. Christians teach that Isaiah and Hosea are about Jesus. Read the scriptures as they were written. You don't have to embellish Jesus.

"Only" a regular human being and Prophet like Moses or Mohammed? And why do Christians believe Jesus is the Son of God or God?

I answer with the Prophecy in the Old Testament, Isaiha 9:6 then I quote the New Testament John chapter 1, 1:1 and 1:16 "No one knows God except ..."
Why do Muslim not accept that Jesus was the Messiam prophesied in the OT and far more than a "prophet"?
