Koresh went into Waco, unarmed, every Saturday morning according to the sheriff who to this day spits at the name of Janet Reno and Willy Clinton. He could have been easily taken into custody....instead the ATF sent a SWAT team to take the compound and were fired upon....there were no "machine guns" or parts to make semi-autos into automatic weapons. The whole dirty, murderous rampage was Clinturd's attack on a peaceful group of Christians. He and Reno should both have been tried and executed for mass murder.

Unless that is what you are talking about, it was a cult-standoff and cannot be applied directly to everyday life. Once the ATF screwed up there was no good solution.

There was absolutely no reason to rush the compound with 30 children in it. The FBI KNEW the place was rigged with gasoline, they KNEW the adults had no intention of surrendering. They knew firing and lobbing tons of gas into that structure would ignite it on fire and RENO ordered it done anyway. Reno murdered those children just as if she lit the gas on fire herself.

It wasn't just child sex abuse, it was physical abuse. And based on Koresh's history from a previous gun-related charge, the ATF had good reason to serve a warrant for David Koresh's arrest and a search of the premises. While approaching the compound, the agents were fired upon, and four were killed. So, when the authorities took the action they did, whether it was the best decision in hindsight, the officials in charge thought it was warranted and appropriate at the time.
