The whole point of the Electoral College was to prevent the election of someone like Trump who would overthrow the Constitution. The EC was supposed to be the last bastion of protecting the Republic from its own voters.

But sadly the Presidents the EC has certified over the wishes of the popular vote, are among the 3 worst Presidents in history. And that includes Trump.

The Electoral college is a check and balance. People may think differently in parts of the nation. City folk and semi-rural/rural folk are different. The powerful can dwarf the less powerful in legislation from elections without it. The Federal Reserve Act, the 16th Amendment, the 17th Amendment and the 19th Amendment has changed us and set the course for our demise. Those actions were used to create severe agitations between the sexes, the races, religions, etc. Making things worse even if they are better. The damn broke with all of the social legislations in the 1960's that has expanded in all ways with the costs rising like climbing a cliff. Even with the EC, Progressive Socialist Democrats are continuing the guide the nation into the globalists goal of world government headquartered in Europe. And many here will be poorer and like it or else.

They have a system of checks and balances. Therefore, he can be impeached to be removed from power. As far as I know that is the only way. It is a Republican that respects the right of voters.
