That's one of the problems is my understanding... It was a campaign contribution not declared by him.... that breaks the campaign finance law.I have yet to see any valid explanation how his paying her is a campaign contribution when he was the candidate and paid with his personal funds.
how did he avoid paying taxes? it was money that would of been earned at some point and taxed, then used to pay for a service ( retainer) if cohn avoided paying taxes on the money he earned thatās not trump responsibilityThat's one of the problems is my understanding... It was a campaign contribution not declared by him.... that breaks the campaign finance law.
But made so much worse than a fine or misdemeanor because he cooked the books, avoided taxes by claiming it was legal fees paid to Cohen or something like that....?
And again, there has been no indictments yet, so truly, we don't know what all the indictments will be, if there are any.....
Nothing stopped them from indicting him other than choice. Multiple entities investigated this including Bragg's predecessor and the FEC. None of which chose to indict. BTW this DA isnt claiming that the sol for the falsification of business records hasn't run out. He's claiming that it's a felony because Trump committed that crime in order to commit campaign finance crimes which makes it a felony according to NY State law. It's interesting that the FEC who investigated this didn't think it violated any such election laws.
haha bill barr isnāt AG, Trumps not a sitting presidentThe FEC didn't push it because they'd have had to go to Bill Barr to get charges filed.
What kept them from indicting him is that we don't indict sitting presidents... this is the problem we've had since Watergate, we don't have a way to prosecute criminality by a sitting president.
We can hold an ex-president accountable, though. Trump should have pardoned himself before he left.
Or they figured no one gave a shit. Hilary didnt run the best campaign. The evidence of that was that she couldnt beat Trump. Was anyone under the delusion that Trump was less than faithful aka a serial philander? Is anyone shocked he slept with a porn star? Really I think I might have been more surprised to find out he hadn't slept with a PS than that he had. People are who they are, and Trump is a wildly unfaithful to his marriages. All of them. All that said you cant make the case without a reasonable doubt that he paid them off because of the run for President. It's clear these women were coming forward looking for money was because of the run but that doesn't mean Trump wouldn't have paid them to shut up whether he was running for President or not. But even if you could I refuse to believe he wouldnt have been charged with campaign finance charges (and cheered on by you) had he used actual campaign funds to pay off Daniels. So you cant on one hand say it was illegal because he paid this woman off with his own money but would have been illegal under the same statute had he paid her off with campaign funds.
haha bill barr isnāt AG, Trumps not a sitting president
FEC didnāt fine clinton and the dnc for their illegally funding money through their lawyer to pay for russian disinformation til 2022
1) the doj isnāt charging him with any campaign fin lawsWhich is why the scumwad is being charged now.
So you are admitting that there isn't a statue of limitation issue for shit that went down in 2016.
So what's your issue?
1) the doj isnāt charging him with any campaign fin laws
2) there are for NY crimes, do you even have a clue what Bragg is doing ir who he is? hahah the doj and fec have nothing to do with it
bragg canāt charge him with federal crimes.Yup, Bragg is charging him and he is going down, because if there is one part of the country that is sick and fucking tired of Donald Trump, it's NYC.
The only way it could be worse for him is if the jury was entirely his Ex-wives and cheated business partners.
the fec hasnāt said trump violated a campaign fin law wirh thisā¦.the only candidate that violated a campaign fin law in 2016 was clinton i the dems according to the fecIn the end doesn't really matter if he reimbursed him or not. If trump knew that the payments were being made, He also reasonably would have known that the payments violated campaign finance law, And a politician knowingly accepting an illegal campaign contribution is always illegal.
bragg canāt charge him with federal crimes.
i wouldnāt get your hopes up, bragg already said there were false expectations of an arrest made. Heās facing contempt of congress and potential disbarment for weaponizing his office like this according to legal experts
He falsely claimed the money for Cohen as Trump org legal fees, and for some fake computerized gadget expenditures for the Trump Organization, falsely as the Stormy pay off and (and McDougal) pay off ...how did he avoid paying taxes? it was money that would of been earned at some point and taxed, then used to pay for a service ( retainer) if cohn avoided paying taxes on the money he earned thatās not trump responsibility
the doj and fec arent looking at any campaign violations⦠in fact the only party snd candidate the fec found violated campaign fin laws was clinton and the dncā¦ironically for paying for foreign disinformation and claiming it was legal fees an attorney named Marc Elias
haha yeah for those federal crimes you claim he canOh, I suspect Trump hit the panic button to work up his Nazi followers, but it has backfired because now Bragg will probably have to indict to save face.
paying your lawyer to do legal work such as an NDA is legal feesHe falsely claimed the money for Cohen as Trump org legal fees, and for some fake computerized gadget expenditures for the Trump Organization, falsely as the Stormy pay off and (and McDougal) pay off ...
What Cohen did was not for Trump Org legal fees, nor for a security/sound, computerized gadget crap. The $450,000 Cohen got was for McDougal/David Pecker at National Enquired catch and kill payoff, and for Stormy hush money, and a cash bonus for Cohen for silencing the girls as the cherry on top.
The feds said Cohen and Individual 1, violated a campaign finance law.... The FEC was non functioning at the time, with Trumpers on the board preventing violations by Trump coming forward, his entire presidency.... look it up....the fec hasnāt said trump violated a campaign fin law wirh thisā¦.the only candidate that violated a campaign fin law in 2016 was clinton i the dems according to the fec
I never said he didnt.Well, at least you are admitting he probably banged her.
The problem here was timing. Stormy was threatening to go public RIGHT AFTER the Access Hollywood tape surfaced. Trump's response was to drag out the Clinton Hags (Jones, Willey, Brodderick) who even Ken Starr didn't really believe. So the expense was campaign related. If it was on the up and up, he should have made the payment directly, and disclosed it after the election. It wasn't.
Which is why he's going down for this.
And frankly, I see this as kind of akin to getting Al Capone on income tax evasion. You know he's done far worse stuff, but this is the easy case to make.
Read some REAL NEWS for a change.... You might meet a pay wall, for a change...paying your lawyer to do legal work such as an NDA is legal fees
show me the link showing the line items you also claim
no the fed didnāt not say thatā¦they said Cohen didThe feds said Cohen and Individual 1, violated a campaign finance law.... The FEC was non functioning at the time, with Trumpers on the board preventing violations by Trump coming forward, his entire presidency.... look it up....
