It's clear these women were coming forward looking for money was because of the run but that doesn't mean Trump wouldn't have paid them to shut up whether he was running for President or not. But even if you could I refuse to believe he wouldnt have been charged with campaign finance charges (and cheered on by you) had he used actual campaign funds to pay off Daniels. So you cant on one hand say it was illegal because he paid this woman off with his own money but would have been illegal under the same statute had he paid her off with campaign funds.

I never said HE signed a letter, I said SHE signed a letter claiming it never happened, and in trumps tweet, he refers to a letter she had already signed and that the NDA was entered into to stop her from lying about an affair.

Who do we believe? Is there evidence the affair actually happened? Is there evidence trump knew the reimbursement to cohen was for hush money payment? There are contradicting stories and some from cohen and other lawyers that suggest cohen acted alone and that non of this happened because of an affair.
