Zone1 Is the promise of a good afterlife the greatest motivation for…

I’m looking at it from the other side of the equation…

If you (or anyone) were trying to bring people into your faith, there would need to be a during life benefit as well as a post-life benefit.
Yes, that is how I have always looked at it as well. I've been given the promise of the life living in the ways of God, which has been better than the one I would have lived had I lived outside the ways of God.

Then we have very different experiences, as I think you already know. My 27 years with God were a horror show of lies, deceit and failed promised from the church. My last 23+ years have been slightly better but even when they haven’t been, I’m not wasting my time, energy and money on a bullshit faith that never did a damn thing for me.

I wasn't given a life doing things within the Church. Sure, I participated, assisted in several ways, but never more than about three hours a week. Most of my life was working as a lay person in clerical work, teaching, raising a family, etc. I spent more times on hobbies than I did volunteering at Church. My life has been well balanced--except perhaps my social life. I'm not particularly sociable unless it involves an activity--anything from Bible Study to horseback riding. I'm seldom found at parties, and 99% of those are family gatherings.

The Way of the Lord is in using his commands and teachings in every day life, loving others...seeing a need, filling a need, overcoming stumbling blocks. I've never minded putting others first, especially if they need to be put ahead.

Saying "a lot of evil in texas" is something a religious nutjob would say.

Once again, I myself understand how you feel. If you think all those who stay faithful to the Catholic Faith are always Happy Happy Happy with God, you can think again. I dare say NO ONE is happy with God 24/7/365 for years on end. If you are happy in this life all the time, that's a sure sign you won't make it to the next.. (the Good Next, that is).

God tests us. We hate it. And we sometimes hate HIM -- Confession time... although I did come to realize that hating God, or even just being somewhat ticked at Him, is a waste of time. It's like being in a rage because it rained when we wanted sunshine..

He tests us. We don't think we need to be tested... or at least not as much as we are.

But it is what it is...

christianity represents - should be everyone's obligation.

But you are a part of it. It is unfair and sacrifices will need to be made.
The issues raised against God by satan in Eden, and mortals choosing to know both good and bad is why the world is as it is. Satan is the ruler of this world-99% are being mislead.
I am not much apart of it.

the persecution and victimization of the innocent is the serpent moses and their claim a&e were sinners when in the beginning they chose self determination for life in the everlasting on their own accord than live in servitude and denial as the apartheid religion of judaism, all three desert religions using identical prologues.

Moses was correct.

Moses was correct.

prove the above ...

they, moses did not claim to be the serpent himself who was the choice of servitude a&e refused, the same as their false commandments that never existed than what they claimed were etched in the heavens.

these were the issues of the 1st century and the lessons taught by jesus - self determination to free an individuals spirit - not servitude and denial being dependent on another than themselves.

Prove it. Cite any quote or parable that you think demonstrates that. Because I think you have more shit coming out of your mouth than your ass.
