This thread is great. Since Detroit and Chicago have democratic mayors, everyone in the city is lazilly lumped together as liberal when we talk about gun violence (as if some gang banger has any political leanings at all). Yet somehow, when we talk about thugs in Georgia or Memphis, the political leanings are not mentioned since these are red states. In this, the right wing liars forego political and play the race card in an attempt to taint the Democratic party.
It just goes to show that there is nothing you can believe from these people. If you haven't learned that yet, keep watching closely...they really can't help themselves.
Yes yes... just because the worst crime in the nation is centered in cities LONG RUN BY LEFTISTS... that should never be used to BLAME THE LEFT for the long term consequences of their IDEAS and the LONG STANDING POLICY that such has established.
Well, if you say so.
Blame whomever you want; just be consistent about it. Don't cite the city leadership in one case then flip around and cite blacks in another when leadership isn't so easy to identify. I tend to think there are many factors involved but it always seem that poverty and criminal actions go hand-in-hand regardless of race or who takes the helm of the city.
I'm not sure who the mayor of Denver is. Let me look it up. He's identified as a Democrat.
I would ask you why they are not rioting in Denver, LA, or Houston but there are many factors involved. Denver legalized pot this past year. As a result, I found this on the 'net:
Those are nice stats for something that is marginally detremental anyway but I can guarantee you that the poorer areas of Denver are still the most dangerous when it comes to crime. It has nothing to do with race or who is the mayor; it has to do with income. When you're "making it", you're not holding people up. It's that simple.
