What hope can there be for the world when you have to argue simple, basic, proven scientific facts to a fraction of the population?

I for one believe that it is. I've believed this for a long time, but I found that a documentary called "An Inconvenient Truth", which features for Vice President Al Gore prominently, was very persuasive. I know there are those who believe that the Climate isn't changing as well, including some people like James Corbett, who I respect immensely for his work on other subjects, but we simply don't agree when it comes to climate. Recently, a poster in another thread of mine expressed his belief that the climate isn't changing so I thought it might be good to create this thread and see where it goes. I ask that people support any assertions that haven't already been made by another poster with at least one link.

Two things, YT---

1. Correlation does not necessarily mean connection. The same thing that causes temp to go up and down may similarly affect CO2. That wouldn't mean that the CO2 is DRIVING it.
2. Your chart shows that out of the past 800,000,000 years, for 20-30 years of that time, or about 1/40,000,000th of our history, CO2 has been higher. That does not mean temperature will rise proportionally. If it did, then that would imply we could reach an infinite high temperature in a 100% CO2 environment!
3. Your charts show that CO2 is at TWICE the level of any time in history! I've studied climate a little, stratographic eras a lot, and not only isn't that true, CO2 has been HIGHER in the past, but your chart is actually based on PROJECTIONS:

What else could it based on? Either the time hasn't happened yet. Or there was no scientific data taken a billion years ago. Or 500 years ago, for that matter.
None of us know for sure sure what's going to happen 200 years from now. Even those who say they do.
