Thanks, Crick. Indeed, being a hundred feet up can be pretty unpleasant in a strong quake like the one you experienced. Sometimes in the next 2,000,000 years, San Diego may be part of the Baja peninsula, unless there is a rising out to sea that brings up another mountain range. Hope it's not in our lifetime.Best of luck with that Ms Beautress. Earthquakes are scary things if you're not sitting in the middle of a wheat field. I went through a 6.3 in San Diego sitting on the 6th floor of a 10 story hotel and thought how unpleasant it would be if the building collapsed. Keep the kids ready to run outside ASAP. Fingers crossed.
