27. Anyone who failed to abide by a decision of the court (Deut 17:8-12)

That said more about the seriousness of the sin than the reality of what was happening in Jewish courts. More than one death in a seventy year period and the court became known as a bloody court.

Jews grasped with the same reality all ages face. Save criminals from a violent end or save society from the violence of criminals.
