This is an opinion piece (mine). It is both an opinion but a question as well.

"Is talent and ability to accomplish goals in life something Trump (and his supporters) against?

This morning when I heard the news that Robert Redford died yesterday, this thought (the OP question) came into my mind. Robert Redford was vocally against Trump and his goals, but so are a huge amount of people that have shown high talent, have accomplished major goals in life, and are generally not only respected but lauded by most Americans.

Here is a partial list of them:
  • SINGERS
  • The Rolling Stones
  • Neil Young
  • Adele
  • Rihanna
  • The White Stripes
  • Isaac Hayes
  • Elton John
  • Panic
  • Prince .
  • Foo Fighters
  • Queen
  • John Fogerty
  • Beyoncé
  • Taylor Swift .
  • Bruce Springsteen
  • Lady Gaga
  • Katy Perry
  • Adele
  • Aerosmith
  • Celine Dion
  • Guns N' Roses
  • Jack White
  • John Legend
  • Linkin Park
  • Madonna
  • Pharrell Williams
  • R.E.M.
  • Village People
  • ACTORS
  • Robert De Niro
  • Mark Buffalo
  • George Clooney
  • Eva Longoria
  • America Ferrera
  • Kerry Washingtom
  • Julia Roberts
  • Rosie O'Donnell
  • Bette Midler
  • John Cusack
  • MILITARY LEADERS
  • John Bolton
  • Dan Coats
  • Mark Esper
  • John Kelly
  • Jim Mattis
  • H.R. McMaster
  • FORMER PRESIDENTS
  • Barack Obama
  • George W. Bush
  • Bill Clinton
  • Jimmy Carter
On the other side of the coin, the amount of talented and well-known singers/actors/military leaders/ex-presidents that have supported and lauded Trump, is a very small amount (less than 10).

On top of all of this, one thing that has also surprised me to the nth degree, is that those Americans that have achieved great success in life and are generally lauded and respected by Americans, have been debased and pissed-on by Trump supporters (across the board). To me, that means that having worked hard and having had the ability to reach one's goals in life has no importance to Trump supporters. That earning the respect and good treatment by Trump supporters, we all have to support Trump.............or otherwise we are garbage.

Is this (supporting one person and nothing else being important) what the American Dream has become (according to the Far Right)?

Actors and "singers" should stay in their wheelhouse and out of politics.
They certainly should have their opinions, as everyone does. But, it doesn't make them
an Einstein on politics.
Not sure a few military leaders were mentioned and former democrat presidents and a RINO?
I would be more impressed with hearing from the rank and file of the military, not those playing
politics in the military.

Trump thinks of one person, Trump..
Yeah, that's why he volunteered to have fucktards like you and OP hating on him all day every day for trying to make things better for Americans because he knows how to.
He needed a bunch of losers hating on him more than he already had. That has to be it, amirite?
This OP originated from crazy Trump hate.

"I always check with Lady Gaga for my thoughts".......Luckyone.

Trump thinks of one person, Trump..
This OP was not really about Trump. This OP is about what is now important to the right and what is not. The Conservative side of our country (the Republicans) have always been for personal accomplishment. It has been all about what ONE person can accomplish for himself (through talent, ability, dedication and hard work). This trait has always been lauded and respected by the right.

With Trump this has changed, as all of those that accomplished that the Conservative right of the party has always had as being "the most important thing in life" has now being thrown away as all those people that I listed in the OP, are now being debased and criticized (instead of being lauded and respected for their accomplishments) just because they have vocally expressed their views on Trump.

That is pure hypocrisy

See post #8. It is exactly the answer that I would give to your post.

Do let us know when you have a talent. Whining about Trump all day, every day, is not considered a talent or a skill.

Post #8 has nothing to do with my post. What I stated was the way I've thought
for the past 40 years. Has nothing to do with Trump. I just don't need or want
the 'egos' telling me how I should think or vote.
You are a good minion, and like to be led around without thought.
You'll get used to socialism/communism some day. I won't.

That's cuz we know how America was, and what a bastardation of it Democrats and RINOS have been pushing for years. Americans deserve better, if for nothing else, for all the American veterans' lives that fought valiantly.
And for all the suffering they had as a result of that for the rest of their lives.

What a stupid thread. You can't even keep it consistent with your stupid premise. You propose "Is talent and ability to accomplish goals in life something Trump (and his supporters) against?" You then end your tortured opinion piece with "Is this (supporting one person and nothing else being important) what the American Dream has become (according to the Far Right)?" Obviously a different question.

Aside from being a very poor writer, your opinions don't even make sense. It is your Leftist Democrat Party that celebrates mediocrity with DEI and a host of other talent squashing policies. And supporting Trump is by definition supporting the American Dream. That is what Make America Great Again means.

Stick to reading stock charts, you suck at politics and writing in general.

Most Intelligent talented people are against tRump. His supporters are mostly people who feel they have been slighted by the whole world because they have not succeeded on their own and they refuse to accept responsibility for their own failures and faults.
