Is politics a big issue in your family?

I have four siblings. Two out of our five kids are voting age.

I'm black, but voting for Trump (I mention being black because my profs try to ridicule me for that)*. My sister is married to a white guy who is diehard Trump. My sis is sort of apolitical, but she will vote for Trump.

My parents voted for Biden, but sort of held their nose when doing so. They do not like Harris. My grandmother is not really a big Trump supporter, but will vote for him. My grandfather has firmly declared he is not voting lol

We had a family reunion a few years ago, and I remember there being some sparks. My uncle called another uncle treacherous for his voting choice. Sometimes I hate discussing politics.

*The profs' attempted ridicule has fueled my passion for politics this summer. :)

My family is more or less everyone liberal except my mother, who claims to vote liberal but nobody really knows. My father is the sort of liberal who's quite conservative. When he found out his sister was a swinger... oh my word.... Most of them know not much, are easily manipulated by things...

Revel in being a minority. How sweet.

I'm going to try taking a stab at being Dear Abby. Shove it in your prof's face, be as political as you want, but don't bring up politics when around family. None of them will change your mind and you won't change the mind of anyone who disagrees with you. If they bring it up, try your best to just roll your eyes and stay quiet because you aren't going to win any political arguments with them anyway. When in other places blast with both barrels if you want.

My parents never discussed politics.

It's not discussed. I'm more to the right than most of my immediate family.

If you want change, try working with the Republican party.

Many established Republican leaders need replaced.

I was once a Repub and tried that. It is a losing battle.

I am not a steady 3rd party candidate voter.

My significant other is a Democrat while it’s no secret on this board that I’m a Republican. But it works because we’re both moderate. My sister is the real issue. She’s a bit too far left. He arguments make no sense at all. For example she just recently said she totally credits Joe Biden for her job… a job she’s had since early in the Trump Administration.

My wife will vote for Harris. As for everybody else in the family, sons and brothers, I have no interest concerning who they're pulling for. Whoever wins, I can't imagine any of us having any trouble being able to cope with it.

IMO, if you're family votes for Kamalie you’re surrounded with ignorance.

The irony of using "you're" instead of 'your' in a post about ignorance is off the charts.
P.S: Don't change the wrong one.
