"Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel on Tuesday defended the organization's censure of GOP Reps. Adam Kinzinger (Ill.) and Liz Cheney (Wyo.), blaming the media for what she called "patently false coverage" of the move. The RNC voted last week to formally censure Cheney and Kinzinger for the “persecution of ordinary citizens engaged in legitimate political discourse." A number of Republicans have condemned the RNC’s censure, including Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), who voted to convict Trump in both his impeachment trials and who is McDaniel’s uncle. In her op-ed, McDaniel said “the awful events of that day do not justify Cheney or Kinzinger enabling a partisan committee whose real purpose seems to be helping Democrats’ electoral prospects at the cost of potentially ruining innocent people’s lives.”

However, this is what Ronna said on the exact day of January 6th -- why didn't she refer to it as legitimate political discourse on that day?? It took her over a year to realize it was legitimate discourse?? Why?? Was she lying a year ago or lying now?? Also, why did Ronna -ROMNEY- McDaniel drop the ROMNEY from her name right when Trump got elected? Is she ashamed of her family name or something?? By the way, she didn't feel this way when the Democrats censured Democratic members of the 928271 different obviously political Benghazi committees..well, at least I assume they censured those members, because you know...both sides do it and stuff..

However, Mitch said:

"We all were here. We saw what happened," he said. "It was a violent insurrection for the purpose of trying to prevent the peaceful transfer of power after a legitimately certified election from one administration to the next."

Now, was this a violent insurrection that had the sole purpose of trying to overturn an election and stop the transfer of power?? Or is Mitch lying?? Either way, ultimately this source of division is 100% the fault of the Dems...if they would have just kept quiet and let Pence overturn the election and allow Trump to remain in power, this country would have been able to heal and remain unified.

They are all full of shit, GOP Establishment stooges.

The old GOP neocons are in their death throws.
MAGA is the only way forward.

Has McConnell ever spoken up about what is happening at your southern border on a daily basis?

How about the lost industries to foreign "competitors"?

Asking for a friend...
In today's episode of deflection.....

Trump doesn't even talk about "the southern border" on a daily basis...but he definitely talks about trying to overturn an election and throwing out the votes of millions of Americans on a daily basis tho.....

Republicans just want it all to go away

Move along, nothing to see here

No, we want Establishment morons like Mitch and Ronna gone.

RINOs have no desire to Make America Great Again, they want to try to appease their Democrat “friends” and make money the same way Dems do...by selling the country out.

MAGA is nothing more but the latest iteration of the GOP...

All Trump did was study the rhetoric being fed to the Republican base for the past 35 or so years...the rhetoric Rush Limpnuts vomited into their brains everyday -- the slimeball tactics that Newt Gingrich engaged in for decades......all Trump did was say the quiet parts louder than the previous Republican presidential nominees...

Policy wise, the so-called "MAGA" movement has done nothing but push the same policies the GOP has always pushed...

Which further tells me, it was never about policies....it was always about trolling, manufactured grievances and culture war BS

I am going to say this again.....

If you are going to whine about Mitch not talking about the border daily -- then you need to wine about Trump not talking about it daily...because he doesn't -- but he definitely talks about overturning elections daily..

Why are you cult followers ok with that?? oh I remember now...because you are cult followers

Rona is a just a party hack. Like him or not, Mitch is right on this. I think trump has gotten the national party to support un-American, anti-Constitutional values and positions in a quest for party power over national interests, in a further suicidal party over country position. It was wrong to censure these republicans. Several Republicans that have more often than not supported trump, have condemned the move. The big lie is a big loser, as, it is a lie that cannot be sustained any longer if the party is to continue. The majority of the Republican party does not even support the big lie or the insurrection. Independents do not support it either. I would certainly never vote for candidate that supported the lie or insurrectionists, ever for the rest of my life, no matter how many Republicans I have voted for as an independent in the past. That party cannot continue to exist with just the support of 33% of it's own members, and as an Independent, I'm certainly not having any.

His methods don't matter, imperfect and some not popular with me. Overall though, his policies resonated across party lines for a reason. The policies pushed by both parties are providing Trump his success. You can't be incompetent for 30 years and blame Trump for "Trumpism". Some politicians don't have mirrors in their homes.

I watch videos of Americans on youtube outraged that some citizens left America to represent another country in Beijing. They have a reason to be angry. However, I often consider why people are leaving.

You may become like Canada soon, a Middle Power, which is horrible for the worlds future for liberty. Your border policy may be the single worst policy of any sovereign nation, it's longterm design will be to rush in socialism, hand power to a handful of people while your currency is replaced.

The outrage over the outraged is misplaced, purposely in some instances in MSM to the point of being comical. People repeating the same mistakes with the same Establishment figureheads. The logical calling it as we see it isn't the problem, the stubborn and poor performers are.

The Olympics are a microcosm of the state of global affairs, America needs to succeed and one has to question if some policies are helping or hurting this objective.

Honest question....

"The majority of the Republican party does not even support the big lie"

Why do you feel that is accurate?? There is actually more evidence that the opposite is true....

The RNC only does what they feel will appeal to the majority of their voting base; in order to win elections....which tells me that supporting the big lie is very much supported by the majority of the party....

Even if the everyday Republican voter doesn't believe the big lie -- if they believe pushing the big lie would "trigger the libs" -- they will push it...because that is the one motivating factor to being a Republican.....owning the libs....

I've seen polling at different levels of support. The core is the 33% that have always supported trump.

Have we forgotten what speech was being expressed by the thousands upon thousands of protesters who stayed outside the barriers that fateful day? ... seems to me that both sides of this leadership split are ignoring the rank-and-file Republicans ... just like the Democrats ...

Is any of this more important than passing appropriation bills? ...

The only side that overturned an election were democrat voters who stuffed ballot boxes and cheated. We’re not going to stop talking about it until what’s right is right is done
