giving them subsidies would be good for the country since the wealthy are wealthy because they( think Steve Jobs) have invented things that we all want to buy to increase our standard of living.

why not?? the poor get trillions each year, it only cripples them more, and there is no payback. A subsidy to the wealthy would be the opposite, just what we want!!

They shouldn't be subsidized, but they shouldn't be penalized either. Rich people pay LOTS of taxes, worth far more than the benefits they receive in return.
They produce wealth, tangible assets, employ people who pay taxes and make others rich along the way. Poor people create more poor people.
