It varies from state to state. A lot of states in the southeast has what they call "blue laws" which say that you can't buy beer or liquor on Sunday, bars have to close at 2:00 on Saturday, etc. But, again, all that stuff varies, too. As far as the paper bag thing, I think in more lenient counties and states, you can drink out of a bottle in a paper bag. Down here, I see bums doing it, but not really any bar goers or anything like that. I think they just look the other way if it's a homeless person.

Pretty much the only law that is enforced nationwide is that you cannot buy any alcohol if you're under 21.
